Do you have a collection specifically of NOT spicy recipes? Sadly I’m allergic to capsaicin (Chiles, peppers, etc), but I was hoping you’d have a collection of non spicy Korean foods since the recipes are so hard to find, or very difficult to rework without the gochujang and other chile/pepper bases. Thanks!

I like your recipe but don’t know where to get genuine Korean ingredients. Where I live in Melbourne Australia, there are no Korean grocery shops which sell the products listed in your Gochujang recipe. I tried online and could not find any. I don’t want to order from Amazon as I prefer to order from genuine retailers. I know in America, you can get Korean ingredients. I would be grateful if you could help me.
Kind regards, Justina

Used in some dishes, but not that common. Certainly not in the basic staple seasoning ingredients. Have the list of nuts you’re allergic in Korean and show to the restaurants you visit. I can help you with that if needed.

Thank you, very useful.
Do Koreans use a lot of ingredients containing nuts? I am allergic and travelling to Korea in January!

I plan to visit my local Korean market later today to add the staples I don’t currently have. I’m excited!

Side note: This morning I lucked up on your Gochujang Jjigae recipe (which I will make this weekend!) and was immediately blown away with your writing style. After reading through your blog, I’m a huge fan and follower. Thanks!
